ABOUT

*19?? (not sure of the original date)

Twin Gables was born.  You stepped off the sidewalk into the front door.  The name came from the obvious Twin Gables on the front of the building from what I have been told was a house converted into a bar but not 100% sure on that.

*1976

Richard Kusinski purchased Twin Gables and renamed it to Rich’s Keg.  There has been rumors of a fire in the old Twin Gables.  The place was torn down and rebuilt where Twin Kegs now sits.
Also in 1976, Richard purchased the current shuffleboard from a bar that was located on the north side of Thompson Lane just before you get to the railroad tracks called the Bamboo  Club.

Jesse Gunn purchased Rich’s Keg and takes “Rich’s” off of the name leaving it with just “Keg”.  There was a naming contest and the winner was drawn and the name that was drawn was “Twin Kegs”.  The winner received a case of beer.  Twin Kegs Later, became the “International Famous Twin Kegs”.

Jesse hired a cook, Kenny House, who developed the now famous “Big Bad Burger”.  The story I was told by Dixie Gunn (Jesse’s Sister) was that there was a customer that wanted a bigger burger because the one that was being made at the time was not big enough so Kenny put two patties together and voila, the Big Bad Burger was born.  There are many stories being told about Twin Kegs and all that has gone on over the years.
The folks that have been gathering at The Keg over the years became known as The Keggers.  Most of them still hang out at The Keg almost on a daily basis.

Jesse sold the bar in early 2006 where is changed hands a total of three times before picked up by the current owner in 2007.

Todd Rossbach becomes the latest proprietor.  Since then, Todd has made many changes.  There has been a stage installed with a PA system.  The bar has been moved from the side to the back.  The menu has been changed a little but still keeping the famous Big Bad Burger.  The Twin Kegs Cheeseburger has also become the talk of Nashville.

The Keggers (most of them) still come hang out at The Keg and play shuffleboard or Thursday and golf on the weekend.  There are a many younger folks coming out to The Keg now and some are even wanting to become Keggers.  Twin Kegs is actively involved with the Nashville Sports League.
